LEAVES, BRUSH, YARD DEBRIS
All material must be in open cans or loose at the curb. No bagged material will be collected. Materials must not block storm drains, crosswalks, bike lanes, or curb cuts. If bike lanes or crosswalks exist on the road, material must be placed between the curb and sidewalk or at the road edge.
INCLUDED:
Branches*, twigs, shrub clippings, garden trimmings, plant stalks, pine needles, tree trimmings & pruning debris, weeds, flowers, brown Sweet Gum seed balls, and all other yard debris.
*Policies for brush and branches: All brush put out at curb must be no longer than 5 ft. in length. Branches over 4 inches in diameter must be cut into pieces 18 inches or less in length.
Not included: garbage, grass, soil, railroad ties, landscape timber, pressure-treated materials, concrete, bricks, tree stumps or large tree limbs, wood, construction materials, stones, plywood, 2x4’s, etc.). |

COUNTY ROADS: (Applies to Leaf Collection Only) The following are county roads: Rte 571 (Princeton-Hightstown Rd) (east of RR tracks); Old Trenton Rd; Clarksville Rd (from Cranbury Rd to Rte 571); So. Mill Rd (Rte 571 to New Edinburg Rd); Cranbury Rd; Windsor Rd; Robbinsville Rd., Harrison St, Village Rd between Edinburg & Southfield. West Windsor will also pick up leaves on county roads. For Leaf collection schedule for Mercer County, call Mercer Co. Road Dept – 530-7500. *All brush and yard waste must be out by 7:00 AM on the first day of the collection week, but no earlier than one week prior to a scheduled and announced collection (per Township Ordinance 2006-01 Article VI Section 150-26). |
