Comcast Offers Analog/Basic Subscribers Access to Stations
Comcast has issued the following as options to analog/basic subscribers who still want to view the out-of-market New York NBC and CW feeds and do not want to change their level of service.
- Customers with an analog box may swap it for a digital box at no charge.
- Analog customers who subscribe to preferred basic service but don’t have a box may get one for only $1 a month.
- Analog customers, who have limited basic service and, again, no box, can get a digital box and remote for less than $5 a month.
- In addition to providing continued access to the New York affiliate of NBC and CW, a digital box will give these subscribers access to Comcast’s ON DEMAND service with more than 8,000 offerings, 95% of which are free; Comcast’s interactive program guide; all-digital picture quality; and additional channels like The Tube, NJN Jersey Vision, and NBC/WCAU Weather Plus. It will also help prepare subscribers for the coming years as digital quickly becomes the norm and standard for cable service.
- If a customer is not sure what level of service they have or what they need to do if they wish to continue watching their respective out-of-market feed, Comcast encourages them to call 1-800-COMCAST where representatives can walk them through the options best for them.
