On July 1, 1993, West Windsor Township's municipal government changed to a non-partisan Mayor-council form of government. Under this new form, executive power is vested in the Mayor and legislative power lies with the Township Council. The Mayor has broad administrative and appointive powers and prepares the annual budget; the Council gives its advice and consent.
