The Department of Public Works is now collecting yard waste. The schedule for 2017 is as follows:
Zone 1 will be picked up on the first Monday of month,
Zone 2 will be picked up on the second Monday of the month, Zone 3 will be picked up on the third Monday of the month, Zone 4 will be picked up on the fourth Monday of the month.
*All brush and yard waste must be out by 7:00am on the first day of the collection week, but no earlier than one week prior to a scheduled/announced collection.

With cold weather here, PSE&G reminds customers that the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is accepting applications for the 2016-2017 heating season. LIHEAP helps low-income residents with their heating and medically-necessary cooling bills. Please see news release, and chart highlighting 2017 income limits.
The NJDEP has placed 14 counties, including Mercer County, under a Drought Warning due to continued rainfall deficits. Residents are encouraged to do their part to conserve this precious resource by eliminating unnecessary water use. This flyer identifies six simple actions residents can take immediately to help in this effort.
