Police Officer:
Under the direction of a superior officer, sergeant or supervisor, the police officer is required to perform general law enforcement work involving the protection of life and property through the enforcement of laws and related preventive and investigative work throughout the township.
The written examination will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 Location: West Windsor-Plainsboro High School South.
Mark your calendars accordingly as there will be no make-up exams and all fees paid are Non-Refundable. Only the first three hundred and fifty (350) applications for the written phase of the examination will be accepted. You do not have to be certified to apply and new candidates will be attending the Mercer County Police Academy or another academy in New Jersey.

Seasonal Pool Manager Positions - West Windsor Township
West Windsor is seeking two (2) highly motivated and experienced individuals to fill the position of Pool Manager at the West Windsor WaterWorks Family Aquatic Center. Position requires overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring the safety of all pool guests, maintain proper water chemistry levels in accordance with health department regulations and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
WaterWorks is open weekends only from Memorial Day weekend, May 25, 2024, through June 19, 2024. Beginning June 20, 2024, the facility is open seven days a week through Labor Day. Pool hours are 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. 35-45 hour work week with holidays and weekends are required.
Required certifications include: American Red Cross Lifeguard Management, CPR, First Aid, and Certified Pool Operator.
Salary: $25-$35 per hour depending on experience. Must be available from May 1, 2024 through September 2, 2024.

Accountant
The Township is seeking to hire a qualified individual who is responsible for the maintenance of the finance account system including cash receipts, disbursements, statement reconciliation, subsidiary journals, general ledger, various financial updates, and special projects. This position will maintain and process daily receipts from Trust, Current, Pool Utility, and Capital Funds, analyze accounts for the nature and accuracy of transactions, generate 1099INT year-end statements for Cash Performance Guarantee; work closely with the Chief Financial Officer, auditor, and Department Heads on all matters pertaining to the financial and escrow systems of the Township.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree preferred in accounting, finance, business administration or related field. Experience may be substituted for a college degree. Two years of responsible accounting/bookkeeping experience.  Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or working towards certification preferred. Valid NJ Driver's License.
Salary Range: $59,724.39-$81,070.97

Public Safety Telecommunicator I
West Windsor Township is seeking a full time Public Safety Telecommunicator (PST). The PST receives and dispatches all requests for police service/assistance by means of radio, telephone, in-person requests and dispatches the necessary patrols, fire departments, first aid, wreckers, utilities or auxiliary agencies as required and is responsible for the day-to-day communications of the Police Department. Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all public safety personnel, members of outside organizations and the public, including individuals who may be are in differing situations while using various communication devices such as telephone, radio, walkie-talkie and/or in person is required. 
Qualifications or Requirements: Possess proper credentials for 9-1-1 Dispatch/EMD and be NCIC/CJIS certified. The successful candidate must be able to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.  All applicants are subject to a criminal background check.
Salary Range:  $53,634.39-$74,942.75

Plumbing Inspector
West Windsor Township is seeking a full time Plumbing Inspector. Under the general direction of the Plumbing Sub-Code Official, the Plumbing Inspector performs plumbing inspection work involved to enforce relevant public health laws within the jurisdiction. Inspects for conformance with the approved plans and the current adopted codes. Responsibilities include Daily inspections of all plumbing work, gas installations, mechanical systems and storm drainage systems to enforce relevant public health laws and current adopted codes; receive and examine plans for code compliance. Determine the cause of violations and cite applicable laws/codes so that corrective action can be taken. 
Qualifications or Requirements: Possession of a valid HHS (High-Rise and Hazardous) license as a Plumbing Inspector issued by the NJ Department of Community Affairs. Possession of a valid NJ State Driver’s license in good standing.
Salary Range: $79,024.65-$104,512.30

Utility Person 1 – Sewers
West Windsor Township is seeking a Full Time Utility Person 1 to work in the Sewer Department. Under direction of the Director of Public Works or designee, this position performs manual and unskilled labor work at Pump Stations and performs upkeep of sewer system including cleaning lines, cutting grass, hauling screens from wet well, cutting grass, watering, weeding and picking up litter; assisting in the operation of the sewer jet; drives truck, hauls and delivers materials, loads and unloads trucks with or without assistance. Under direction, this position operates, adjusts and regulates pump station pumps, valves and other equipment, and takes periodic readings. Inspects, cleans, and makes repairs to storm sewer underground system (inlets and pipes) throughout Township as needed. Performs routine emergency maintenance and repairs of all sewer associated equipment.
Qualifications or Requirements: Possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in good standing or obtention in one year required.  Previous experience working in a sewer department.
Salary Range: $42,054.10-$60,894.95

Finance Clerk 1- Finance Division-Full Time
West Windsor Township is seeking a Finance Clerk 1 who is responsible for supporting the Finance Division and Office of the Tax Collector. The work is to be performed under the general supervision of the Chief Financial Officer and the Tax Collector and/or designee. Provides secretarial, clerical, bookkeeping and accounting support to the Finance Division. Greets the public at Finance window, takes payment and records payments, receive and sort incoming mail, minor and complex computer work and correspondence, collect and record tax sewer rent revenues, update and maintain various Finance spreadsheets, prepare deposits, post payments issue receipts. 
Qualifications or Requirements: High School diploma or GED equivalency degree, proficient knowledge of computers, cash handling experience, excellent customer service communication skills, office/accounting experience preferred. Flexibility to undertake a variety of assignments.
Salary Range: $42,054.10-$60,894.95
