Laborer (Roads) – Public Works
West Windsor Township is seeking a Laborer for the Division of Roads in the West Windsor Township Department of Public Works. Under the direction of the Crew Chief, this position performs various types of manual and unskilled labor related to the upkeep and maintenance of Township property. Loads and unloads trucks with or without assistance. Cuts grass with small riding mowers and walk-behind mowers. Uses weed whackers, edgers, blowers, and hedge trimmers. Prunes, cuts, trash pick-up, and raking. Performs manual tasks of maintenance of road sides, parks, ball fields, and grounds owned by the Township. Maintains Township vehicles and equipment. Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Possession of a valid New Jersey driver’s license in good standing. One year experience in the performance of labor work preferred.
Salary: $40,369 - $59,468

Seasonal Laborer – Public Works (April to December)
West Windsor Township is seeking temporary Seasonal Laborers for the West Windsor Township Department of Public Works. Per Diem Bus Driver – Senior Center
West Windsor Township is seeking a per diem Bus Driver for the Township Senior Center. Under direction of the Manager of Senior and Social Services, the per diem Bus Driver serves in an “on call” basis to fill in for the full time bus driver as needed. Operates and maintains the Township Senior Bus. Transports participants to and from Senior Center, scheduled trips, medical appointments, and local shopping, making special trips as required. Prepares reports and keeps records. Maintains a log of mileage and performs routine visual bus inspections. Ensures bus is properly maintained, serviced, and in good working order at all times. Picks up supplies for senior programs as needed. Provides staff assistance in emergency situations. Coordinates scheduling for the Senior Transportation Program. Assists the Division of Senior and Social Services with routine tasks as required.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two years experience as a licensed operator of a motor vehicle. Possession of a valid State of NJ Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in good standing with passenger endorsement. Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Salary: $17.64 - $27.96/hour

Part Time – Registered Environmental Health Specialist – up to 21 hours per week
West Windsor Township is seeking a part time Registered Environmental Health Specialist. Under the direction of the Township Health Officer and/or Manager of Environmental Health Services, responsible for conducting inspections as well as the compilation of proper records of inspections, the collection of evidence of violations to responsible parties; under direction, performs the sanitary inspection work involved in the enforcement of relevant public health laws within the jurisdictional coverage area of West Windsor Township Health Department; related duties as required.
Qualifications: Licensure as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist issued by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services. Valid New Jersey driver’s license.
Salary: $34.16/hour

Electrical Inspector
West Windsor Township is seeking a full time Electrical Inspector in the Code Enforcement Division. Under the direction of the Electrical Subcode Official and the Construction Official, the Electrical Inspector reviews permit applications and/or inspects all structures for compliance with the Electrical Subcode in relationship to Construction Permits issued. Reviews plans and specifications for electrical work consistent with the Uniform Construction Code and conformity with the same. Inspects relevant work for conformance with the Uniform Construction Code. Prepares reports relating to assigned duties. Provides recommendations for temporary and final Certificates of Occupancy. Establishes and maintains records and files, including photographs as necessary. May give assignments and instructions to employees and may supervise the performance of their work. Required to learn and utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and computerized information systems used by the agency/office. Working knowledge of SDL software a plus.
Qualifications: Valid license as an Electrical Inspector of the appropriate level, High-rise and Hazardous (HHS) or Residential/Industrial and Commercial (RCS/ICS), issued by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs. SDL experience preferred.
Salary Range: $81,593 - $107,909
