COVID-19 Update – August 26th, Wednesday

There is no delicate way to put it – after taking several steps forward we took a couple of steps back last week. We had 9 new positive cases during the week. The silver lining is that 8 out of these 9 cases are attributed to two family clusters while we had an additional isolated case. None of the cases was a community spread within West Windsor. If we continue to follow precautions this will be an outlier week and we will continue our steady progress next week onwards. The trend within Mercer County and New Jersey continues to be encouraging.

I should also note that the State changed the Covid reporting rules sometime during the past two months. If we have an individual tested positive in a household, we are now required to count anyone in the house with symptoms as a positive case. Earlier only those who actually got tested were counted.

Today’s picture is appropriately storm clouds by Anita Dushyanth. Next week I hope to post a clear sky picture. Please do send West Windsor pictures to me.

Please be safe and enjoy a great week ahead.
